Spice up your gaming experience by 3D printing a wine cellar to complement your tavern in D&D or other tabletop RPG.

Hi everyone, I’m sharing my latest 3D printed project for D&D: a wine cellar! I was super excited when my DM requested a wine cellar because I already had one in mind: this one designed by Curufin on Thingiverse!

3D Model
The models for the cellar include:
- a large shelf
- short shelf
- wine bottle rack
- double wine bottle rack
- wine bottles
Also available was a small crate and wine glasses.
Print Time
I used my FDM printer to print the shelves and my resin printer to print the wine bottles.
It took about 5 hours to print the pieces shown below.

The wine bottles took about an hour and some change to print on my Elegoo Mars UV Resin printer. If you’re in the market for a resin printer, I highly recommend that one, and if you already one I highly recommend the Elegoo UV Resin. It has minimal odor and I’ve had great success with it.

Assembly
I used super glue to secure the shelves together and I also glued the bottles in place.

Painting
I spray painted half the wine bottles red and the other half green. I used beige acrylic paint and hand painted the corks on the bottles.

I painted the shelves with a base of dark walnut spray paint and dried brush it with two shades of a brown.
In hindsight, I regret printing with red filament as it added additional work. For future terrain pieces, I’ll stick to black or dark grey filaments.
3D Printed Wine Cellar
This was a fun project and I can’t wait to finish building a tavern!
